Hegemon
A good game. I actually typed a report for this as we played, so I'll post that instead.
1901 News
France was off to an interesting start this year. instead of
grabbing Portugal, Gino decided to conquer Belgium. Meanwhile, the Brits decided
to brutally oppress the Norwegians. Germany managed to get very, very lost,
causing Russia to go ballistic on him, and getting a crusade and death warrant
called down onto him by the mighty Russian Hegemon (I warned you that I'd be
biased). However, the Germans did manage to slaughter some Dutch and seized
Bohemia from the evil Austrians in the mighty conflict known as the First
Austro-Everyone War. Germany's neighbor to the south decided to brutally attack
a poor, innocent 9 year old, quickly occupying one of Italy's most magnificent
cities. The Italians feebly strike back, occupying Tyrolia. The Ottomans occupy
Bulgaria and send their fleet into the Aegean, preparing to occupy Greece in
revenge for the Trojan War. Meanwhile, the Russians liberated Sweden and
Rumania, freeing them from their oppressive governments. Russia also invaded
Austria and took the Black Sea. Is there a Juggernaut brewing? Only time will
tell. And by that, I mean yes.

1902 News
Because I'm certain this year would be biased against me if Austin wrote it.
1902 was better than the year before. France secured its spot as
the strongest power in western Europe with the capture of Portugal, while
simultaneously making the Germans scurry back home to defend themselves against
the evil Frenchies and smelly tea-drinking Brits, who had occupied Denmark.
Unfortunately for the Brits, they lost the province of Norway to the benevolent
Russian Empire, who seized it with magnificent fleet actions. The year ended in
western Europe with the Frenchies in the ascendency, the Krauts frantically
defending the Fatherland, and the Brits hopping from one Scandinavian territory
to another, while also managing to have fleets bordering multiple French cities. Is France's time up? Time will tell.
Meanwhile, farther south, the evil Austrians annihilated a poor, innocent Italian force in Tyrolia, slaughtering
them whole. They eats them. They eats them whole. It was not a good year for
Italy. The Austrians lost Budapest, and failed to defend their capital, Vienna,
losing them both to the mighty and good Russians. The Turks joined in the
dismantlement of the Austrian Empire, seizing Serbia, as well as neutral Greece.
Finally, the Juggernaut was brought to a close, when Russia stabbed the evil and
smelly Turks in a glorious fashion, conquering Ankara with their all-powerful
Black Sea Fleet. Glorious Day! The Russian Empire is expanding. Meanwhile, in a
mighty feat off counter-intelligence, the Russian Hegemon established who the
saboteur known as "anonymous" was. It was none other than the King of France,
Gino!

1903 report:
What a year!
France and England drop out of the race as the Russians start eating up the
board. Italy is slowly recuperating after Austria's attack, while the Ottomans
recover from Russia's well played backstab. There was some fire in the public
press as the Ottomans and Russians hurl violent comments at each other. We
feared that another Time War would happen but some words from England helped
call a cease fire and they became friends. We will have to see if we survive one
more year

1904 report:
Game over!
Russia won! No surprise there. Last Place goes to Kat followed by Courtney then
Gino. Then Mason dropped. Me and Daniel tied. Mitchell won. Join Fluffies are
Evil! Or History of the World. Or nothing.

Mitchell's editing: 1904 was the end. The Russian Empire was clearly going to
win. In a spirit of goodwill, the Turks convoyed a Russian army to Tunis, and
the Italians allowed me to occupy Venice. Thanks to their heroic self-sacrifice,
the game was brought to a close a week early. Russia applauds them.
