Certamen
Our first game, plagued by inactivity, was a failure. Countries were given randomly by the computer, but before we started I warned them that whatever happened, I would win if I was England. Alliances wouldn't stop me, I would win.
Of course, that wasn't even remotely true. If they teamed up and turned in orders, it coulda gotten tricky.
Gino, as Germany, formed a massive alliance consisting of the rest of the board. I told Mason, who was playing as Italy, that Gino and Zach (Austria), were planning on attacking. Gino had told Mason to sail through Spain to get to me, resulting in a long-running "Sail through Spain" joke. Everyone forgot to turn in their first orders but me, Mason and Max, Mason's brother, who was Turkey. Gino turned in his next set of orders, but with his alliance inactive, I crushed him and took over the Low Countries, most of Germany, and Scandinavia. At this point, Austin joined as Russia, and his brothers joined as France and Spain. They got crushed and Mason and I grew. Mason attacked his brother, I attacked Mason and won the game.
